Horse Movers Ltd has grown out of the need to move our own horses between livery yards, show-jumping events, the vets, or just to go for a days hacking some where new! After various attempts at using local horse transport companies and being let down and missing an event or a lorry that turns up that is so unsafe we wouldn't let a dead horse be transported in let alone our horses! We also realised that many people who move horses do it to earn an extra few quid, but don't have the correct insurance for hire and reward or an Operators Licence for the commercial transportation of horses. This means that your horse is not insured and if you are a passenger in the lorry you are not insured either!!! Read this Article Due to our own bad experiences we have been meticulous about the safety, legality, and security of Horse Movers Ltd. Hence we have full DEFRA certified vehicles, State Veterinary Service authorised certification for all our journeys and our vehicles and personnel are fully insured. All our lorries are fully insured for "hire and reward" we hold a full "Standard Operators Licence" which means in short we are legally qualified to transport your horse Safely, Securely and Legally anywhere in the UK. Oh yes, our lorries are inspected by a qualified Independent Safety Inspector every 12 weeks as per the law for commercial vehicles over Maximum Authorised Mass of 3.5 tonnes.
