7.5 Tonne 3 Horse Horsebox Prices

The cost to hire this lorry with driver is as follows (Minimum charges may apply):

Mileage Charge

£1.20 per mile for all journeys upto 249 miles, subject to minimum charge of £75 plus VAT. For journeys of over 250 miles a charge of £1.10 plus VAT per mile.

Journeys over 500 miles are priced on a formula using mileage/time/number of horses and overnight stops, for an estimate please contact Horse Movers or complete the Enquiry Form.

Shared Loads

We apportion the charges for shared loads based on the mileage each horse is actually on board.

Return Journeys/Events/Shows/Day Trips

All distances are calculated from our base in Titchfield and returning to our base, included in our charges is 30 minutes loading/waiting time thereafter a charge of £20 per hour of part thereof will be charged.

Waiting Time

We charge £20 per hour or part thereof for waiting (the first 30 minutes is included in our price see Loading and Unloading Below).

Loading and Unloading

Included in our price is 30 minutes for loading/offloading the horse/s and tack. If it takes longer then each subsequent hour or part hour will be charged at £20 or part thereof.

Vehicle Facilities

If you wish to use the living facilities for other than getting changed in then the charges are explained below.

Per Day or part thereof:

(based on approximately 8 hours of usage) £125 a day, including the use of the toilets, shower, heating, cooking and sleeping facilities. (bedding is not supplied). Maximum 4 adults.

Per Week:

(based on 5 nights 6 days of usage) £625 including the use of the toilet, shower, heating, cooking and sleeping facilities. (bedding is not supplied). Maximum 4 adults.

 Deposit

£100 booking fee is required for all bookings. If you wish to use the accommodation a £500 Damage Deposit is payable using a credit card the day prior to the first day of rental. See Terms and Conditions for full details.

We reserve the right to take a damage deposit secured as a deffered payment against a credit card if we consider there is a risk of damage. This is normally imposed when transporting unhandled young horses, horses that have not loaded or travelled for a long time or stud stallions.

Payment

We accept all major Credit or Debit cards, payment by cheques made payable to Horse Movers Ltd with a minimum of 5 days to clear funds, or electronic transfer (contact us for bank account details).

Cash is accepted for short/local journeys only.

A 2.5% surcharge is made on all credit/debit card transactions.

Additional Costs

If the hirer uses the living facilities then the following should be noted:

  * Kitchen/Shower/Toilet

Please be aware that these facilities must be cleaned and all utensils and equipment cleaned and stowed correctly.

If any of the kitchen, shower or toilet is not cleaned then a cleaning charge of £50 will be made for each facility requiring cleaning.

  *Damage or Breakages

Please be aware that any damage or breakages however caused to any fixtures or fittings, utensils or equipment will be charged at the full replacement cost, these items are NOT covered buy the vehicles insurance.

Loss of Use

If the damage caused stops the horsebox from being hired to other clients or results in cancellations then the full charge of these cancellations and any loss of income will be charged.

Cancellation

14 days or more notice full deposit will be returned less £25 handling fee.

Less than 14 days notice of cancellation then the deposit is forfeited.

24 hours or less prior to the first day of hire then the full amount of the contract will be charged.

Regular Journeys

VAT

All our charges are exclusive of VAT which will be added at the prevailing rate.
